Dallas Jewish LearningFest 2010
January 30-February 7, 2010
The 2010 Dallas Jewish LearningFest is a community-wide program dedicated to providing attendees the opportunity to expand their knowledge of Judaism and to help define what it means to be Jewish. This year’s theme, “From Kugel to Google” underscores the rich selection of classes. Rabbi David Wolpe will present the keynote address on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., February 3 in the Zale Auditorium of the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center. The topic of his presentation will be Why Faith Matters in the 21st Century.
Cost to attend: $18 for the entire week of classes

A preschool tennis program designed especially for children. (Ages: 3-5 Years Old ) Learn basic tennis terms and improve hand-eye coordination. Learn fundamental strokes and footwork, on-court safety and etiquette. Proper stretching, warm-up and cool down, as well as the history of tennis will be taught. Most of all, we will have lots of fun!

Rabbi Bradley Shavit Artson holds the Abner and Roslyn Goldstine Dean's Chair of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and Vice President of American Jewish University. Friday morning at 10am; Preschool parents and members of the Special Needs Initiative community invited to a discussion of “Life Lessons from my Autistic Son.” Saturday morning Rabbi Artson will address the topic of B’Shallach: Freedom & Song, and he will speak to a leadership group in the afternoon.
